Located on the second floor of Nordelaia’s restaurant building, LORTO is the relaxed fine dining led by British chef Charles Pearce with the guidance of coach Andrea Ribaldone. Views of the beautiful hills of Alto Monferrato, pastel colors, delicate and floating lines, and natural materials, the design of the space blends directly into the kitchen setting, which stands at the center of the attention and of the room itself, creating an experience that completely envelopes the senses.
Nordelaia’s vegetable garden, located on the back side of the Relais, stands as a founding element of LORTO’s cooking concept, which considers vegetables the absolute protagonist of the menu, instead keeping animal proteins as a side and no longer as the main component of the dish. Another cornerstone of LORTO is linked to seafood, from nearby Liguria to the lakes and rivers of northern Italy, completing the cuisine offering and defining the gastronomic restaurant as unique within the surrounding area.

The bright, airy interiors with floating lines are by British design firm These White Walls, which was inspired by the blooming flora of the gardens, creating a palette of pink walls and peach colored textures.

Striking floor-to-ceiling windows offer sweeping views of the hotel’s garden and the surrounding landscape, with glimpses of the historic and atmospheric Cremolino Castle in the distance.

ristorante Lorto menu

Lorto, the vegetable and the seafood. Menus that are strongly characterized by their connection to the territory, following the evolution of the seasons. Chef Charles Pearce is deeply grounded in the home place of coach Andrea Ribaldone, who transmitted a profound knowledge of the area and its products, and then shaped them on his international cultural experience.Three tasting menus: Terra, six courses in which the vegetable is the undisputed protagonist; Acqua, the path of seafood; and the Chef’s Menu, to discover the identity that the chef aimed to give to the cuisine of LORTO.

The wine list includes wines produced within the five adjacent hectares planted with Pinot Noir, Dolcetto and Barbera, as well as an extensive list of bottles from local independent vineyards, then broadens the view to the wine scene in Italy and surrounding countries.

Piedmontese, and more generally Italian cuisine is enhanced by the offerings of Nordelaia’s Bistro. Vitello tonnato, ravioli del Plin, as well as vegetable tortelloni made from fresh pasta and catch of the day, guaranteeing a cuisine that is sensitive to all requests and always tasty.

The Bistro is open daily for lunch and dinner. On Tuesdays for lunch and dinner, we invite you to discover the Lounge Menu together with a weekly selection of special dishes created using seasonal produce from our trusted local suppliers
